High Tech Paint Makes Color Changing Cop Car

Laying out the HARDWAY PATROL Logos Steve and Jeff get started on first applying the vinyl to the cop car doors.

Insuring the HARDWAY PATROL Logos are in place, Steve and Jeff quickly lay down the vinyl turning this ordinary Escalade into a black and white police unit as seen on TLC’s Paint Misbehavin Show.

Jeff Mersey checks out the “To Serve and Profit 911″ Logos for placement on front fenders of the police car.

“To Serve And Profit 911″ logos find their way on the front fenders. These too will play a part in the cloaking cop car project.

Steve makes some final vinyl trimming and the police car will be ready for the color changing Heatwave Paint.

Jeff Mersey joins the cast of Paint Misbehavin on TLC as Steve Flanagan and his crew of merry “paintsters” attempt to create the Cop Car of the Future. Steve knows Jeff is the man when it comes to throwing down paint and completely overhauling anything that sits on 4 wheels. Jeff started out by stripping Rob’s Escalade down to the bone. Rob could hardly stand to watch. It wasn’t long before Jeff was ready to get the truck into the booth and do what he loves most, throwing paint down. Before Jeff could actually paint the truck he and Brian from Cerritos College had to wrap the doors with the specially printed HARDWAY PATROL logos that would be hidden with Imperial’s Heatwave (Heat Reactive Paint). Jeff was on the truck till the wee hours of the night BUT it was all worthwhile as Mr. Mersey again pulled off a flawless finish and the team was one step closer to making the Cloaking Cop Car a reality. Now it was back to the shop to figure out how to heat the doors. Paint Misbehavin Cloaking Cop Car Becomes A Reality

Mike Derfus came down from Sound Off Signal with a whole trunk full of goodies to equip the Escalade with everything it needs to transform into its black and white alter ego. On Thursdays episode of Paint Misbehavin on TLC we saw just what Mike and the guys were able to pull off, let’s just say it was a phenomenal job. The Escalade was definitely an intimidating beast when dressed out in black and white and the Sound Off Signal light bar, ghost lights and complete siren box, controller and mic added all the bells and whistles needed to really push this project “over the top”.
Mike and his crew came up with an ingenious way for Steve to be able to swivel the light bar on top of the vehicle so when it is in the off position is hardly even noticeable, and Jeff Mersey smoked out the lenses with some black and this thing was COMPLETELY hidden. When it came time for the unveil Steve hit the switch and the light bar swivels into position coming to life as the doors change and the Cloaking Cop Car becomes a reality. Ice-T’s Bentley “Hits the Street”

Well folks the day is upon us… Ice-T’s Bentley GT is “On the road again” and looking absolutely INCREDIBLE with a fresh “Murder Red” Candy paintjob consisting of more than 20 coats of a one off candy color. This beauty is FLAT and WET!

Ice-T and Coco check out the new custom color for the Bentley (FULL Clip)

Here it is in it’s entirety, Ice-T and Coco come out to see the new “Murder Red” color made special for their Bentley GT. This one off color will definitely take Ice’s GT to a whole new level. Watch as Ice tears into the guys who messed up his car the first time and explains that even though it’s “Murder RED” the Crips will accept this one… Because it’s just that COLD! Ice-T goes off on the guys who “screwed him over”

Alright guys as promised there were more of these “teaser videos” coming up BUT I figured I go ahead and post this one up RIGHT AWAY. Check it out as Ice takes the opportunity to tear into the last company who screwed up his beautiful Bentley GT Continental. I would hate to be these guys when this airs on TV. Ice also reminds New York that he loves em’ BUT that they CAN’T paint cars!

Ice-T and Coco filming of the “Murder” Red Bentley project

What more can you say, today the “O.G.” himself Ice-T and beautiful wife Coco came to the shop to check out the progress on the “Murder Red” Bentley GT. Cameras rolled as Ice-T ripped apart the crew that attempted to paint his Bentley for him in N.Y. needless to say they screwed it up BIG-TIME.
Ice reminds them on camera, N.Y. we love you BUT there’s only one place to go if you really want that Candy Paint done and done right… and that is CALIFORNIA where it was born, and obviously HARD Lifestyle, where it was PERFECTED!
Coco was on hand to give her “seal of approval” and once we knew she liked the color, the rest would be easy!

Big thanks to Ice-T and Coco for stopping by the shop and showing “The Love”. We appreciate it Ice and the Bentley is going to “kill”… Guess that’s why such a perfect name for the color… MURDER Red!

Ice-T comes to check out the STRIPPED Bentley!

As promised guys here is round 2 of the pictures. Ice stops by to check out the progress of his Candy Apple “Murder Red” Bentley GT (A special color developed by HARD Lifestyle exclusively for this project). We take a shot at selling him on the idea of Tape Fades on the sides of this “one of a kind” Bentley… But alas the unanimous decision was to stay sort of conservative on this one and just go solid candy finish… No graphics or lines in it.
You can see from a few of the pics it would have been definitely a HARD Bentley with tape fades, however this car is most definitely going to impress!

After this set I’ll put up the 3rd installment today including the shots of Coco and Ice-T playing around with the sample color shape… and the shots of Ice-T doing his thing with the camera!

Jeff is the master when it comes to top notch show quality paint work. With Jeff on board and our HIGH TECH Custom Paints ALWAYS in hand it was time to attack a Bentley!
